A LETTER FROM US
Why SafeAtMyHouse exists—and what safety at home should mean for every neighbor
In every neighborhood, there are doors that look just like yours—yet behind them someone is weighing impossible choices: stay and endure harm, or leave without a clear place to go. SafeAtMyHouse was created for those moments. We are a nonprofit built around a simple belief: no one should have to face a crisis alone, and help should be clear, respectful, and close to home.
We connect people to practical resources and trusted support—whether that’s safety planning, referrals, and advocacy, or a steady hand navigating next steps. We also partner with local organizations and community members to strengthen the networks that keep families safer: informed neighbors, responsive services, and pathways to stability.
Our work is rooted in dignity. We listen first, we protect privacy, and we aim for solutions that fit each person’s reality. Sometimes that means urgent guidance. Other times it means patient follow-through—making calls, opening doors, and staying present long enough for safety to become sustainable.
If you’re reaching out for yourself or someone you care about, you’re not bothering us—you’re doing the brave thing. And if you’re a volunteer, donor, or partner, thank you for helping make sure support is there when it matters most.
Thank you for taking a moment to learn who we are. We’re here when you need us.
